Rafał Górczyński’s work Untitled appears as if it were an unfinished piece. The stone figure of Christ has been partially wrapped in rope and connected by it to a hand placed on the floor. This detachment and inversion of the hand has resulted in a new message; the gesture of blessing has become an imploring raising of the hand toward the heavens. The partial wrapping of the figure might seem iconoclastic, but the artist's intention may have rather been to conceal the divine countenance from the eyes of the profane.
